In the history of Rock n’ Roll there are alot of good guitarrists: Jeff Beck; Jimmy Page; Jimi Hendrix; etc…
But no one and I mean no one is worthy enough to challange the Great Randy Rhoads (maybe Eddie Van Halen… maybe). It’s terrible that he died so young that it makes me crie. I’m sure that his work will live forever and with will not be forgotten like the crap he hear today. Because, my friends, THIS IS REAL MUSIC. The XX century will live forever in the hearts of poeple with good ear.

omg!! Thank you for such a great post!! I am one of the few that got to see him in 1980 I think it was in San Berdo Cali at the Swing.. Before ( Ironically enough ) a plane crashed into it. I was pushed against the stage front row right in front of Randy when I was only 16 year old. Amazing show for me… I will NEVER FORGET IT…

I’d say he replaced him just fine. I think the real problem is that they changed their music (not that I don’t like it… just different and with less solo’s) also a lot of people don’t like giving metallica much credit after the whole napster thing. just cause they asked people to pay for their music doesn’t mean that they’re music is trash.
